Smile, sweet Sunday.

On gloomy weekends like this I just feel like I want to sleep the days away. So I need to remind myself that the adventure is out there, it is! So on Sunday I scraped up the last bit of energy I had left from the busy week behind me and had the loveliest day with my favorite city. Went down to the old harbor, walked along the shoreline, did a bit of window shopping and ended up having coffee in the coziest little cafe. It's as if the city takes a breath on Sunday and leaves everything as it is - nice and calm.. and Christmasy. Aside from the weather, which as usual was rainy and oh so-ooo windy. So please do ignore my awkward poses on the pictures, I was literally holding my breath that the wind wouldn't blow over my tripod. Anyways I'm going to let you enjoy the photographs now and get back to work-work-work. I'm printing fabrics! So I hope you like this quick and rather random post and don't forget to tell me what you think :)

Paint butterflies in my mind.

What better way to kick start this fabulous month of December than with an itty-bitty blog post. Well don't get too excited, these photos were taken back in the beginning of October I think. Because while Icelanders rock their wonderfully effortless hobo-chick look, than 95% of the time I can't get past the hobo, so believe me I have no desire to document this everyday horror of mine led alone share it with you guys. However to counterbalance my unfortunate inability to get along with this climate and dress accordingly, I have been photographing my surroundings a lot, which might explain the overflow of scenic views in this post. People like to think that grass is always greener on the other side. But in this/my/Iceland case, it's true. Literally. This gorgeous little island has been brushed with a certain shade of green that just has that something - a warmth, a weird glow. I've always been very curious about colors. It's as if I'm a bit more sensitive to them than your normal human. A right shade of something deliciously bright can lift my spirit in a heartbeat. And when I see a dash of morning sunlight paint a gorgeous shade of blush on a sidewalk, I could go home and literally talk about it for hours. And those of you who have been reading my blog for a while now might have noticed how gently and carefully I arrange the colors that surround me and capture them in tiny moments for you to see. There is no room for randomness, it's a very systematic and an interesting world. Sometimes a feel like a little chameleon. Back home I always used to gravitate towards clean and crisp pastels, which is the color pallet of your regular Estonian winter, but here I feel like my wardrobe has become more muted and mellow. As if I was subconsciously trying to blend in and seem as if invisible. I hope you like the pictures and be sure to tell me what you think. :)

Go with the crazy. / Lucky winners!

And finally the winners of the giveaway! But before I start dropping names I just want to say how incredibly happy I am to have such amazing readers. When I started this blogging madness four years ago I would have never imagined that such lovely little creatures would find their way here. And if I weren't such a socially awkward penguin I would ask you all out for some coffee and cake and whatnot. But long story short the lucky winners are Merit Pindis and Emőke Kádár. And my personal picks:  Marija, Janeli Harjus and Grete Kikas. A big thank you to all of you who took the time to write down the softest of words and leave them in the comments for me to find. I actually had a whole list of names written down, that I wanted to give a personal shout-out to, but I've somehow managed to lose the darn thing and going over the comments again would seem like too big of a treat for my lazy ass, so let's just let this one slide. Hope you like the pictures and be sure to tell me what you think :)

Olge tublid mu hiirekesed! :)
